Ingredients needed:
- 75 caramels (about 1.5 bags, Kraft)
- 1/2 cup + 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 boxes German chocolate cake mix
- 2 1/2 sticks melted butter
- 12oz back chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk. In a bowl, mix melted butter, 2/3 cup of evaporated milk, cake mix and nuts. Pour 1/2 mixture in greased 8.5 X 13 baking pan. Bake @350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked cake and then pour the melted caramel over the top. Follow with remaining mix. Spread evenly. Bake 18 to 20 minutes longer. Cool and refrigerate before cutting into squares.
