Santa Claus was pretty good to the girls this year. They each got a bike this year, but they are both too small for them. Nevertheless they were both tremendously excited to see them. This was not really their biggest surprise though. We were blessed with a visit from Mommy’s aunt and uncle from the “Great Northwest”. I guess the horrible weather they had received just prior to Christmas drove them out. They were so happy to be down in CA with clear skies and no snow. They have both recently taken up golf so this was also a good opportunity to get out and play some golf. Uncle played 4 times while auntie play twice. Not bad for a 7 day stay. This gave Daddy an opportunity to get out and hit some too. 🙂 Daddy was only on playing 2 times during his time off, but it didn’t take a lot convincing to take out the aunt and uncle, Daddy ended up playing 5 times during his vacation. 😀
The kids loved having the visitors around, more people to play with. Auntie helped the girls with their new make-up kit, Daddy just loves how girlie they are. NOT.
During their stay they just missed celebrating Christmas with us, but they were around to celebrate Mommy’s B-Day and New Year’s. With all of the golf and celebrating that went on we were all very busy. For Mommy’s B-Day we had Prime Rib and for New Year’s Eve dinner we all went and met up with Daddy’s Dad and ate chinese food. On New Year’s day we had steak for dinner. OMG! I think we really over did it this year with the eating. Daddy has felt so guilty about the eating he has already been out running twice this year.
The girls had also received a late arriving gift from another auntie from up north, but Daddy didn’t put it together until late. It is a cottage setup. The girls just love it. It has a stove and muffin tins wth cupcakes and a pot full of veggies, so far this has taken the majority of their play time since putting it together. Thanks Auntie Marly!
Here are some pictures during the stay of our visitors and you can always see more in our Photo Album too.
Happy New Year!
